Not just a catchall for everything you’ve got in your pockets but a work of art. You won’t regret having this beauty to drop your earrings in to at night.
Karacotta Ceramics’ Abalone Dish is an incredible addition to any home, office, or studio. Traditionally, the Abalone shell is used in a smudging/incense ritual to represent the water element. This porcelain dish can be used during your own smudging ritual or to use as a colorful coffee table accent.
Each piece is dipped in a custom blend of 4 glazes to create a unique, one-of-a-kind finish and then accented with a 22K gold rim.
There are three different color options:
-
Ocean - blue, green, and turquoise glazes
-
Desert - pink, purple and orange glazes
-
Sunset - pink, purple and blue glazes
Hand-washing is recommended.
Dimensions: 5 x 3.5 inches, depth 1 inch
*Cast from a real Abalone shell, each piece is unique and measurements may vary slightly.

About the Maker
Karacotta Ceramics
Karacotta Ceramics works to bridge the gap between ‘aspirational’ and ‘possible’. I believe that a beautiful space cultivates creativity and a richer life experience, and that everyone deserves to live and work in a space they truly adore.
I create one-of-a-kind, functional, ceramic art pieces for everyday living. Each line is created with intention, and each piece is handmade in Austin using a multi-step process over the course of many days. It ensures no two pieces are created exactly the same, with slight variations in shape, size and glaze. I value craftsmanship over production quantity, and within that value, work very hard to ensure wholesale orders get shipped as quickly as possible! We scratch-make our tools, clay-bodies, and glazes, or curate them locally from the very best.
Always inspired by nature, I incorporate organic elements and natural processes into the work. Karacotta represents ‘everyday beauty’, encouraging folks to truly love the physical items they bring into their homes.
The business itself reaches community in a different way: the art we sell is the conduit for exploring and communicating bigger concepts, like sustainable business practices, artistic collaboration, and scholarships for young women. We give back to the local community via donations to non-profit fundraisers, and sponsoring scholarships for youth programs like the Girls Empowerment Network.
